All evaluations are performed by a licensed physical therapist. When you are assigned to a specific physical therapist, you will remain with that therapist throughout the course of your treatment. Your therapist will also have an assistant that will assist him/her in your care.

YES. It is physical therapy done in the water.

NO. Aquatic therapy is performed vertically in chest-deep water.

It depends if you want us to bill your insurance carrier for your treatments or not.
If you do, we accept prescriptions from MD’s, Osteopaths, Podiatrists, Nurse Practitioners, and Physicians Assistants.
If you will pay out of pocket, or do not have insurance coverage: We do not need a prescription. NY State law allows you to seek the services of a PT for 10 treatments or 30 days (whichever comes first).

Treatment is initially based on the evaluation findings. Changes in the treatment plan can be made on a daily basis or at periodic re-evaluations. Treatment may consist of hands-on techniques, exercises programs (land, aquatics, or both), and modalities to help relieve pain or inflammation. Home exercises may be incorporated to further speed recovery.

The first session will last approximately 45 min. to one hour while future treatment sessions are 1/2 to 1 hour in length.
